This Easter has been another unusual one for us at Palms Row. Unfortunately, Northfield Nursing Home was struck with Covid, so we weren’t able to spend Easter Sunday together in the usual way.

Our team members have also had their work cut out with daily deep cleans to limit opportunities for the virus to spread. We’ve been helping residents keep their spirits up with craft activities in their rooms, decorations and the traditional chocolate treats.
Nevertheless, we’ll all be very glad when this tricky period is behind us and we can once again begin spending time together in our communal areas.
Westbourne House was able to have a more traditional Easter.
We were also pleased to be able to invite a professional hairdresser back into the building.
Our residents enjoyed their time with Alison in the salon, leaving feeling suitably spruced up in time for the celebrations last weekend. We hosted a huge Easter raffle with some brilliant prizes and were delighted to raise £200 for our Residents’ Association.
Both our homes are now looking towards the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in June with a range of celebrations planned, including - weather permitting - a big outdoor party with marquee, hats and flags. Check back here over the next few weeks for more details.
In the meantime, we’ve got a 100th Birthday to plan - something we are all very excited about!
